In honor of Britney Spears making her comeback, maybe it's time I made mine. I haven't blogged about my bridesmaid experience because I was overwhelmed to say the least with being the MOH in my girlfriend Kristen's wedding and then being bombarded from my fellow 2009 brides about suggestions, thoughts and opinions on their soon to be nuptials.
It's not that I wasn't all about the wedding process, I still look at it as a positive thing...but...to say that I needed a wedding break is an understatement.
But I'm back, just like Britney and without a documentary or a new CD, but I'm ready to make my bridesmaid comeback!
So, with that being said, I need to come clean on a horrible addiction I have. Wedding announcements. Every Thursday by 5pm the Courier Post publishes their wedding announcements on their website. Now, every Thursday at 4:58 I sit waiting for them to post. Well let me tell you this, who ever is in charge of these postings needs to have an alarm on them! Because every other week at 5pm, they are not updated! This kills me, I love seeing who I might know that is getting engaged. If they aren't updated, I go into a fit of rage at my desk at work and all my co workers who sit by me (who are male) know that I'm upset because I can't get my matrimony fix in. So what? Aren't we all just a little curious? Even on Wednesday's Philly.com posts their wedding stories. And why does the line, "How does forever sound" always get to me so bad? I think it's the holidays.
So see, I'm coming back, I'm clearing my head and I'm getting ready for the 2009 wedding season were I will be a bridesmaid 4(?) times. That doesn't just count all the weddings that I will be attending.
Get ready, it's going to be a crazy ride.
PS: I WILL catch the bouquet at one of these events....I deserve it!
